Children’s Ministries Commission (CMC)

 

The Children’s Ministries Commission supports the Jesse Lee Kid’s Ministry Mission Statement.Our goals and objectives are:

 

• To foster a connection between children and Jesus Christ through interactive and engaging programs.
• To support the Jesse Lee United Methodist Church, the Children’s Ministries Director and Administrator, Sunday School teachers and families in the Christ centered education of children.
• To encourage parental involvement by sharing their time and talents.

 

CMC members attend one meeting a month or as needed and the committee is comprised of the following positions:

 

• Director of Children’s Ministries
• Children’s Ministries Administrator
• CMC Chair (Term begins July 1)
  • Presides at CMC meetings
  • Meets with Director and Administrator as needed
  • Attends Church Council, Charge Conference and Coordinating Council meetings
  • Maintains the CMC membership list
• CMC Past Chair
  • Serves as an advisor to the CMC
• Recording Secretary
  • Records the minutes of the CMC and distributes via email to CMC members
• Program Liaisons (4)
  •  Oversees the work of CM programs and reports progress and issues to CMC.

 

Current members of the CMC are:  Maria-Pia Seirup (CM Director), Elizabeth Etzbach (CM Administrator), Jennifer Failla (chairperson) Meme Sasse, Meredith Anderson, Mimi Wood, Deb Ahle (JAM Director),  Tiffany Lenz, Amber Blaha, and Jenn Hankla
