Our mission is to foster a connection between children and Jesus Christ through interactive and engaging programs and events. Here are some of our regular offerings:
Sunday school, weekly during the 9 a.m. service“Christian Community in Action” Each week our Jesse Lee children age 3 through 5th grade meet together in Martin Hall for prayer, music, testimonials and topical, age appropriate activities in a vibrant group setting. Emphasis is placed on fellowship, self-expression and fun with peers as well as energetic and inspirational teachers and volunteers. Each Sunday centers around a brief talk and hands-on activity led by members of Jesse Lee living out the church’s mission to serve others. Our pre-K children join the large group for music and then break-off for their own play-based lesson. Children come away from Sunday school knowing that God loves them and has given them strength and talents. Children learn that by using their talents to serve God, help those in need and express love for one another, they will make the world a better place. They will learn that they too are important members of a “Christian Community in Action.”
Nursery, Sunday mornings during the 9 a.m. service
At Jesse Lee we recognize that parents need respite and a time to reflect. Our caring and experienced nursery staff and volunteers work together to keep our youngest Jesse Lee kids safe and nurtured while their parents attend service. Our nursery room is located steps from the sanctuary and has a crib, changing table, rocking chair and toys for infants and children up to age 3. Our nursery staff provides simple, play-based lessons to introduce toddlers to Bible stories and age-appropriate faith concepts.
S.H.O.C.K. (See How Our Christ is King), 4th and 5th graders, Wednesday evenings from 5-6 p.m. in the Carriage House
Modeled after our middle and high school youth groups, S.H.O.C.K. is a special evening program exclusively for 4th and 5th graders. Led by Jenni Mason, S.H.O.C.K. participants play games and have small group discussions about topics relevant to what they're experiencing in life-- friendships, faith, peer pressure, competition, relationships within their families and more. Children can join anytime.
